Via Proxy (aka Wine Proxy): a wine place that facilitates the exchange of data (the connection) between wine and people on a network (in the wine world and the community).
We are a local, family-owned and operated Retail Wine Shop & Wine Club integrated with a
Tasting Room Concept.
Via Proxy opened in January 2021 and is located in the Gallery Square North within the Village of Tequesta. The Retail Shop is open to the public; tastings by appointment (call ahead). Tastings may only be made and confirmed by CALLING.

TISH SAWYER
Tish Sawyer (aka Champagne Maven), Via Proxy Owner, Certified Sommelier | WSET Level 3 Tish comes from many cuts of cloth, born in Germany, raised in Europe for 20 years, lived in Colorado, New Mexico, Nebraska, Texas, and now in Tequesta, Florida for 17 years. She’s been in the wine business for 25 years, but sipping wine long before that. Prior to starting Via Proxy 4 years ago (aka Wine Proxy), Tish began her wine career as a Restaurant Wine Consultant for 11 years, and moved on to Fine Wine Distribution with Augustan Wine Imports in Florida for 10 years as an Account Manager for Palm Beach & Indian River County, and as the Florida Brand Manager for over 100 Wineries. In 2021, she opened Via Proxy with her husband, Brian Chamis. Tish is a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, and Level 3 Certified with the Wine & Spirits Education Trust. When asked: Things you enjoy - other than wine... Music, Cooking, Reading, Travel...doing anything with the hubby (Brian), or just chilling alone, turning pages with a cup of tea, and Sarah Vaughan on Vinyl.
Brian Chamis (aka Oenomaniac), Via Proxy Certified Sommelier, Owner - Wine Proxy Collective Brian hails from Tequesta, Florida. He was born in Palm Beach Gardens with a thirst for wine, and has been in the Wine Industry for 30+ years. He is a Sommelier for Cafe Chardonnay in Palm Beach Gardens, and consulting Sommelier for local private wine clients & collectors. Brian started his wine journey at Jonathan's Landing, and then Cafe Chardonnay in the mid-90's. In 2014, he started The Vine Post with his friend and partner, Tom Battaglia; after selling his share of The Vine Post in 2019, he became a broker / consultant for ProVintners and opened Via Proxy in 2021 with wife, Tish Sawyer. Brian is a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers and Certified Specialist with the Society of Wine Educators. A common phrase we hear from people around town is “Brian knows what wines I like”. So when asked, “What does Brian like?” Beer, Sake, Spirits (particularly Bourbon), Sports, and Cigars. Listening Classical or JJ Grey & Mofro, having dinner & laughs with the wife.
